When blood comes into contact with dialyzer membranes, it can induce pathophysiological reactions. The biocompatible membrane in Diacap® CE protects your patients by drastically reducing this reaction potential.
Using a special unique polymer coupling technology, a polymer chain coating is applied to the blood-side of the dialyzer membrane surface. These polymer chains consist of hydrophilic polyethylene glycol (PEG) groups and hydrophobic alkyl groups. By bending and swaying on the membrane surface, these chains create a diffusive layer which physically prevents blood components from coming into direct contact with the underlying membrane surface. Blood-membrane interaction is markedly reduced.
The Diacap® CE membrane meets the sophisticated demands of a gentle and high efficient low flux dialysis.
Benefits:
- Suppresses complement activation
- Reduces thrombogenicity
- Suppresses platelet activation
- Lowers protein adsorption
